Brunswick would like to thank everyone that supported the vision for this development and helped our proposals achieve planning approval. We now look forward to working constructively with the local community and all our partners in the years ahead. The approved plans will see 853 new apartments, of which 40% will be affordable to help essential city workers to buy and rent homes. Further details of the development can be found throughout this website, and it is anticipated that work on the site will commence in spring 2007. The project proposes to create a wealth of new public spaces, including an under-cliff park, a footbridge from the cliff and an entertainment piazza. Over 500 affordable homes targeted at key workers, new and improved retail facilities, a doctors’ surgery, a new and improved ASDA superstore, hundreds of new jobs and environmentally-friendly innovations are also planned. Continuing with the structured programme of open and inclusive public consultation, newsletters will be issued to local residents and a public exhibition will be held prior to proposals being submitted.
